2002 was a poor year for Autumn colour, the mild conditions with strong winds had caused most of the leaves to fall before turning.The few leaves left on this beech tree, in a sheltered spot in Matley Wood, seemed to be the only ones left and they almost glowed in the dull misty conditions.
